Tom Cross was born in Villa Park, Illinois but now resides in Westminster, Colorado with his wife and three daughters.  Since 1992, he has owned his own Tattoo shop where he has won numerous tattoo, painting and drawing awards. Tom made art his whole life, even as a young child.  He graduated from University of Illinois and the Chicago Art Institute and considers Dr.  Harry Wood, a college art teacher, his mentor.  He feels Dr. Wood helped him transition from a skilled artist to a creative artist. 

Tom has upwards of 300 paintings he has done over the past 20 years that mark transition trends of thought.  Among those, there are certain ones that put together the strongest elements of those thoughts.   His favorite piece he created is an abstract painting he did last year, and certainly a future masterpiece still to be created.  To view creations by Tom Cross, visit http://www.tomcrossgallery.com.
